Allegri appeared to call Oriali a “coglione,” meaning “bastard,” and Napoli issued an official statement: “Napoli strongly condemns the behavior of Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, who repeatedly and severely insulted Gabriele Oriali using offensive language during the Italian Super Cup semi-finals, in front of dozens of people on the sidelines and on live television,” Partenope said.

“We hope this completely out-of-control outburst will not go unnoticed, especially given that 33 cameras were involved in the production of the incident and it is impossible not to acknowledge what happened.”

Napoli will face the winner of Bologna-Inter Milan in the Super Cup final on Monday, December 22.

Milan has been eliminated from the Coppa Italia and has not participated in any European competitions this season, leaving only Serie A this season.
