“Capcom remains deeply committed to leveraging its industry-leading game development capabilities to meet the expectations of all users to create highly entertaining gaming experiences,” the developer said.

Monster Hunter: Wildlands’ early commercial performance convincingly beat its predecessor, Monster Hunter: World. The game launched in January 2018 and shipped 5 million copies in the first three days. “Monster Hunter: World” remains the best-selling game in Capcom’s history, with more than 21.3 million copies sold across platforms.

The release of Monster Hunter: Wild set a record-breaking record, with the number of concurrent players on Steam peaking at over 1 million on launch day. The game has more Steam players than popular games such as “Cyberpunk 2077,” “Elden Ring” and “Baldur’s Gate 3.” It currently has the fifth highest number of concurrent players in the platform’s history, with 13,84,608 players. The game is playable on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
