Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rodale Moore died Saturday in southern Indiana, officials said. He was 25 years old.

An autopsy will be performed and his death remains under investigation.

Moore was a star receiver at Purdue University and was drafted into the NFL in 2021 by the Arizona Cardinals. He was with the team for three years before a series of knee injuries stalled his career for several seasons.

He signed with the Vikings before the 2025 season and tore his ACL in the first preseason game.

Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm, who coached Moore at Purdue, said coaching Moore was “a complete pleasure.”

“The ultimate competitor who won’t back down from any challenge,” he wrote. “Londale had a work ethic that was unmatched by anyone. He was a great teammate who stepped up to the plate in any situation. We all loved Lawndale, we loved his smile and his competitive edge and always wanted to make everyone he came in contact with happy. We send all of our thoughts and prayers to Lawndale and his family, we love him very much.”

Indianapolis Colts cornerback South Gardner retweeted a post about Moore’s death. He wrote: “Bro…what’s going on in the world right now?”
