We’re already through the first quarter here at Jerryworld, where the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys are tied 7-7 on Sunday Night Football.
The Vikings took the lead in this game after the Cowboys won the toss and elected to defer until the second half. It took the Vikings offense two plays to finish. . The ball was turned over and JJ McCarthy’s first pass of the night was tipped in the air by the blitzing Donovan Wilson and intercepted by defensive lineman Quinnen Williams.

It looked like the Vikings had limited the damage as the Cowboys called for a Brandon Aubrey field goal, but the Cowboys faked a field goal and they gave the ball to Aubrey who ran for the first down. Eventually, the Cowboys took the ball into the end zone, with Javonte Williams rushing in from one yard out to give the home team a 7-0 lead.
The Vikings managed to get a first down on their next possession but ended up punting it, with Ryan Wright’s punt being knocked down at the 3-yard line, giving Dallas a long field. It turned into a three-and-out and the Vikings offense got the ball back near midfield on a nice catch by Miles Price. It took the Vikings just two plays to get into the end zone, as McCarthy found Jalen Nailor for a 20-yard touchdown to tie the score at 7-7.
Unfortunately, Dallas responded quickly and as we entered the second quarter, the Cowboys were looking for a first-and-goal from the Minnesota 1-yard line.
