Milan 3-2 Torino – Mexico forward Gimenez makes first Rossoneri appearance since October

Mexican striker Santiago Jimenez made his first appearance for Milan since October, coming on as a 70th-minute substitute for Niklas Forkrug in the Rossoneri’s 3-2 win over Turin on Saturday night.

The former Feyenoord striker underwent ankle surgery in December after recurring health issues.

Following the successful surgery, Jimenez began the road to recovery and returned to full training with his teammates this month.

Milan welcomes Jimenez back at critical moment

It’s a welcome boost for both club and country, with the Rossoneri struggling up front recently and Mexico preparing for the FIFA World Cup in the summer.

Fulkrug’s lackluster performance tonight will only strengthen the Mexican’s standing as he strives to play a key role in Milan’s late season run.

With tonight’s win, Milan closes the gap on league leaders and city rivals Inter to five points, although the Nerazzurri still have games to play this weekend – they travel to Fiorentina on Sunday.
