Mikko Rantanen and Josh Morrissey out extended time after Olympic injuries

The National Hockey League is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, but reports indicate that two players will not compete for their respective teams when the season resumes. According to Ethan Hetu of Pro Hockey Rumors, Dallas Stars right winger Mikko Rantanen from Nusiainen, Finland, suffered a lower body injury in Friday’s Olympic semifinal game against Canada and will miss two weeks; Winnipeg Jets defender Josh Morrissey from Calgary, Alta., suffered an upper body injury against the Czech Republic when the Olympics began on February 12 and has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Other notable injuries

We already know about the injury to Pittsburgh Penguins Canada star Sidney Crosby. We don’t know if Crosby will be out at this time.
