Longtime Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans shared a heartfelt message to fans after leaving in free agency. In a post shared by Greg Auman on X, Evans addressed Buccaneers fans directly, reflecting on his time with the organization and the memories he made during his 12 seasons in Tampa Bay.
Evans wrote that he went home quickly after arriving in Tampa as a first-round pick in 2014 and thanked fans for the support they have given him throughout his career. He also reflected on the highs and lows the team has experienced during this period, including the Super Bowl title the Buccaneers brought to the city in 2020.
Even though Evans has now moved on to the San Francisco 49ers to compete for the Lombardi Trophy, he emphasized in his message that the connection he made with Tampa Bay and its fans will always be meaningful to him. In his message, Evans said he will “always be a Buccaneer” and expressed his gratitude to the organization, the city and the fan base for supporting him throughout his career.
