Michigan State will head on the road Thursday night for arguably their toughest road game all season.
The Spartans will face top-10 Purdue on Thursday at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana. Both Michigan State and Purdue must win this game to stay in contention for at least a share of the Big Ten regular-season title, with the loser officially eliminated from the tournament.

Michigan State comes into this game looking to build on back-to-back home wins over UCLA and Ohio State last week. The Spartans are 22-5 overall and 12-4 in the Big Ten this season.
Purdue is also looking to build on some recent success, including a win over rival Indiana University last Friday. The Boilermakers have the same record as the Spartans, 22-5 overall and 12-4 in the Big Ten.

MSU has lost seven straight games at Purdue dating to 2014, so something has to give, right? Well, unfortunately I don’t think that’s going to be the case. The Spartans are certainly capable of winning this game and don’t think Purdue is better than them, but it’s a different story at Mackey Arena… I expected Purdue to lead for much of this game, while Michigan State kept it within striking distance but failed to steal a much-needed road upset.
