The Michigan State ice hockey team takes on Penn State on the road in a massive road series as the two teams compete for a spot in the Big Ten Conference.
When the game began, Penn State (with Michigan) was tied for first place in the Big Ten with 31 points, while Michigan State was one point behind with 30 points.

Michigan State defeated Penn State 6-3 on Friday night.
The Spartans were led by Anthony Romani, who scored his first career hat trick in this game. Porter Martone, Daniel Russell and Owen West also picked up wins for the team.
It was a tight game, with both MSU’s Collin Ralph and PSU’s Gavin McKenna ejected for major five-minute penalties and game misconduct.
Tomorrow, the two teams will play an outdoor game inside Beaver Stadium to wrap up the weekend series.
