“After long and thoughtful conversations with my friends and family, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining,” Gilbert announced. “This was a very difficult decision. I will never forget my time at Rocky Top and will always cherish my time at the University of Tennessee.”
The 6-foot, 200-pound kicker appeared in 26 games for the Vols from 2023-25. He made 34 of 45 field goals and 118 of 118 extra points. In 2025, Gilbert made 14 of 19 field goal attempts.
The NCAA transfer portal opened on January 2 and will close on January 16.
