Moves like Matt Hardy’s Twist of Fate fed wrestling fans and inspired generations of aspiring wrestlers. After signing with WWE in 2022, WWE NXT star Sol Ruca has risen to prominence over the past three years, and her Sol Ruca finisher is building a legacy of her own, similar to Hardy’s. After an upset victory over first-ever women’s Grand Slam champion and veteran Pele, Hardy had some criticism of Ruka’s finisher before revealing his thoughts on the pair’s matchup on Saturday night’s main event.
“I know she’s extremely talented. I think as you get older, that finisher is going to be something that you’re going to regret,” Hardy warned on his “Extreme Life” podcast. “But the game was played very smartly because, I respect their game. Pele is a very smart performer. They didn’t sell anything out there. The stuff they kicked out was totally kickable. They didn’t prostitute the finish. They had these cool sequences. There was innovation, like you said… putting a lot of thought into it and maybe structuring the game to To get a specific reaction… nothing they did was compromised by kicking out, or low selling or no selling. I loved, loved, loved that she hit her finisher, the Saul Snatcher, and then Bayley was in the bottom rope and they exited, but then they went right into the finish… I love that fact and I love that they ended that match perfectly.”

With the help of Sol Snatcher, Ruca won the WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship and the Women’s Speed Championship. Recognizing that these reigns and her fight with Bayley were stepping stones to establishing herself as a household name, she took her confidence to the next level by challenging Chelsea Green for the WWE Women’s United States Championship. Although she lost in the competition, her cool temperament will surely set her sights on new and larger areas in 2026.
