This is the meeting of two surprises in the Premier League this season, and tonight will be a stern test for the Lads.
We were shouting from the rooftops that we were unbeaten at home in the first half of the season and what a feat Le Bris’ side had achieved, but even though they had lost one, Brentford had picked up an extra point from the same number of home games.
Only the top three have taken more points from their own games and we have to look back to Keith Andrews’ side’s last defeat at Griffin Park on October 5. Their away form hasn’t been that great, which is another sign of how impressive this run is, as they sit seventh in the table with 30 points, just ahead of us on goal difference.

Everyone thought the bubble had burst when Thomas Frank left to take over the Spurs job, but Andrews has defied all predictions, despite the pressure on them to maintain form at home as only the bottom four have lost more games than Brentford.
We have only played tonight’s opponents twenty times in all competitions. In forty years in the league, from 1947 to 1987, we played them twice, once in the FA Cup and once in the League Cup, and this was only our fourth trip to Griffin Park in the last forty years – the first in the top flight since 1946.
Over the past four games, Le Bris’ side have shown how difficult we are to beat; we may need a similar performance tonight.

prophecy…
Brentford 1-0 Sunderland
They are strong at home and I think it will come down to the only goal of the game.
