Officials have released maps showing the acreage and acreage burned by a wildfire that broke out near Beaver, Oklahoma, on Tuesday and continues to spread into Clark, Comanche and Meade counties in Kansas.
The Ranger Road Fire continued to burn in both states as of Thursday morning.
More than 283,000 acres have burned in the area, according to a map released by the Oklahoma Forest Service late Wednesday.
The fires that started on Tuesday show how much acreage has been burned so far in Oklahoma and Kansas. Thursday is still burning.
Officials said three firefighters in Oklahoma and two in Kansas were injured while fighting the blaze. In Clark County, two homes and an adjacent building burned, an official said.

Dr. Randall Speier, a veterinarian at Ashland Veterinary Center, has been busy euthanizing injured cattle. He estimated that more than 1,000 people had died or were about to die as a result of the fires.
Other fires are still burning in Kansas. The Ranger Road fire was the largest.
