Manchester United are unwilling to enter new talks with Barcelona over a permanent transfer for Marcus Rashford, the Press Association understands.
It is understood that the Premier League club insists on maintaining the current terms of the striker’s loan deal.

Rashford, 28, spent time in Manchester United’s “bomb squad” last summer before joining the La Liga champions after spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.
His current full season at Camp Nou includes the option of a permanent move to Barcelona for a reported fee of €30m (£25.85m).

While Barcelona are said to be keen on securing the England international’s services on a long-term basis, they are reportedly looking to renegotiate terms.
However, sources close to United say there is no intention to hold such discussions at this time.

The forward has made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish league leaders, scoring 10 goals. Rashford still has a significant contract with Manchester United that expires in 2028.
Rashford could win a number of major trophies with Barcelona this season as the Spanish giants currently sit four points ahead of rivals Real Madrid at the top of the league table.
They also beat Newcastle United 7-2 on Wednesday to secure a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals with an aggregate score of 8-3.
Rashford did not feature in the second leg at Camp Nou after coming on as a substitute in last week’s first leg.

It’s been a largely positive season in Spain for the England star, but his long-term future remains uncertain.
Manchester United hopes to continue to have a new striker, including Brian Mbemo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Cesko, as they are now ready to qualify for the Champions League next season.
