ALBANY – State police are investigating after a 46-year-old Massachusetts man died Monday after colliding with a stopped tow truck on a highway.
According to Massachusetts State Police, David R. Hall, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was driving west on Interstate 90 around 5:15 p.m. when his SUV swerved onto the shoulder and struck the back of a flatbed trailer. The right lane was closed for about five hours while police investigated. The driver of the truck was outside the vehicle and was not injured. Hall’s only passenger, his dog, was found dead at the scene.

Hall was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he died of his injuries Tuesday. Troopers said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
