Donyell Malen joined Roma from Aston Villa in the January transfer window and since then only Harry Kane has scored more goals than the Dutchman in Europe’s top five leagues, Corriere dello Sport reports.
It’s safe to say that Roma striker Malen has made a huge impact in the capital, scoring six goals in his first seven Serie A games.

According to the “Corriere dello Sport” report, since Mullen made his debut for Roma, only one player in the top five European leagues has scored more goals than him, and that is Bayern Munich’s ace Kane, who has scored nine goals. Mullen has six, like Barcelona star Lamine Yamar.

Since Mullen arrived on loan from Aston Villa, Roma has scored 13 goals in seven league games, increasing from an average of 1.2 goals per game in the first half of the season to nearly 2 goals per game.
In the first seven Serie A games with Roma, only Abel Balbo (7) and Gabriel Batistuta (9) have scored more goals than Malen.
Will Mullen join Roma permanently?

In addition, Malen became the best player in Serie A in terms of total shots (36), shots on goal (13), shots in the penalty area (31, 13 of which were on target), touches in the penalty area (70) and expected goals (5.48).

Roma reportedly have the option of making Malen a permanent move in the summer for €25 million. Their option to buy will become mandatory if they qualify for this season’s Champions League or Europa League.
