What USC fans have known for a long time is now official: Makai Lemon is the best receiver in college football. On Friday, Lemon was officially honored with the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the top pass catcher in the country.
Lemon finished the regular season with 79 receptions for 1,156 yards, the most of any Final Four receiver. He also caught 11 touchdown passes while adding two rushing scores and a passing touchdown.

Lemon becomes the second Trojan to win the award. The other USC player to receive the honor was Marqise Lee in 2012.
After arriving at USC as a freshman in the 2023 class, Lemon saw playing time as a backup his true freshman season before becoming the starter at wide receiver in 2024. However, it wasn’t until this season that he truly broke out, posting one of the best seasons at the position for a wide receiver in USC’s storied history
Now, he’s officially the best receiver in the country.
