Mahoning County Courthouse suspends access to Michael Ciccone

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County Courthouse has suspended contact with Court Clerk Michael Ciccone during his ongoing legal investigation, according to an email from commissioners.

In an email from the Mahoning County Commission, they informed Ciccone that rear door/emergency exit access has been suspended effective immediately.

Information emerged that Ciccone violated security rules and protocols, such as improperly entering the courthouse after hours and improperly entering by failing to pass through a security station. Courthouse security recommended the action and it was approved by the presiding judge of the Mahaning County Court of Civil Claims, the email said.

The suspension will remain in effect pending an investigation into alleged violations of court security rules, according to their email.

During this time, he must use public entrances and follow standard screening procedures, according to the commissioner’s email.
