Former LSU wide receiver Kyle Parker is transferring to Ohio State, On3 Sports reports. Parker spent three seasons in Baton Rouge before entering the transfer portal earlier this month.
Parker’s landing position undoubtedly has something to do with the Buckeyes’ new wide receivers coach, Cortez Hankton. Hankton held the same position for four seasons at LSU and recruited Parker out of high school.

Fans might look at Parker’s quiet career so far — 34 catches, 385 yards and five touchdowns in three seasons — and think he’s not a great addition for Ohio State. Even though Parker struggled, it feels like he could have a career year with the Buckeyes.

While the stat sheet may not show it, Parker has a case to be the Tigers’ best receiver in 2025. He didn’t get much attention — partly because of his limited role in former offensive coordinator Joe Sloan’s scheme and partly because of poor passing ability overall. However, in the few games Parker has played, the Tigers’ offense has looked its best all season.
Lane Kiffin and his staff have done a good job of adding talented receivers through the portal, but it would be painful if Parker breaks through in Columbus instead of Baton Rouge.
