It’s show time!

One of the biggest boxing matches of the year will take place later tonight (Saturday, January 31, 2026) Teofimo Lopez Will defend his WBO and ring Light welterweight title fight Shakur Stevenson Inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Lopez (22-1) was last seen defeated Arnold Barbossa Jr. He lost the first and only time since his career via unanimous decision in May 2025 George Kambosos Jr.. Back to 2021. As for Stevenson, he is considered one of the best in the business and remains undefeated (24-0) with 11 knockouts. He currently holds the WBC lightweight title and is expected to become champion in four weight divisions.

First round:

Lopez jabs to the body. Double jab from Lopez. Stevenson found himself in trouble early. Nice jab from Stevenson. During the scuffle, Stevenson attacked the body and the two broke up. Lopez looked fast early on. Lopez lands a left hand. Hard jab from Stevenson, and another. Stevenson lands a left hand. Close round 10-9 Stevenson

Second round:

Right hand lands for Lopez. Stevenson works overtime with jabs. Big left hand from Stevenson, Lopez comes back with a right hand of his own. Stevenson was pushed down, not knocked down. Stevenson jabs again. Lopez struggled to close the distance. 10-9 Stevenson

Round 3:

Left hand lands for Stevenson, then turns right and continues with the jab. Lopez tried to jump into a double jab but caught nothing but air. Stevenson lands the jab again, but not much else. Lopez needs to keep going as Stevenson is struggling to shut it out. 10-9 Stevenson.

Round 4:

Lopez slips and Stevenson tags in the body. Stevenson tried to push forward, but Stevenson was too fast and dodged the attack. Uppercut blocked by Lopez Stevenson. Goode’s left to Stevenson sent Lopez’s glove nearly touching the canvas, knocking him out. Stevenson won one to two. Lopez charged in and caught nothing but air. Stevenson lands a big left hand to end the round. 10-9 Stevenson
