A local high school teacher is at the center of a criminal investigation after being accused of sexually abusing one of her former students.

The Preble County Sheriff’s Office just launched an investigation within the past 7 to 10 days. They are investigating allegations from 11 to 12 years ago.

Sheriff Mike Simpson told NewsCenter 7 on Wednesday that the suspect teacher, who has not been charged, still works at Eaton Middle School.
Investigators say the person who made the accusation is now an adult, but he was one of her former students.
“Victims come to us alleging some type of sexual misconduct that occurred while they were in middle school,” Simpson said.
