Liverpool are finally looking to replace Luis Diaz. However, the risk is as high as £100m.
Liverpool controversially sold Luis Diaz in the summer without a replacement. The Reds did spend a lot of money on the Colombian, but not on a new winger.

This creates a huge problem. Liverpool relied almost on Diaz as a forward, constantly attacking defenders one on one and breaking down the defense in this way.
Without him, Liverpool wouldn’t have a player like this. Leo Ngumoha isn’t quite ready yet and no one else in the squad can provide that kind of immediate running ability.
That’s a question Arne Slott poses this season. “You always miss good players,” Sloter said of Diaz this week, according to The Telegraph. “He was very important to us last season.”
Well, it looks like Liverpool are making moves to find a replacement. This is a risky thing to do, though.
Anthony Gordon replaces Luis Diaz
According to “Caught Offside”, Liverpool are considering signing Anthony Gordon in a deal that could be worth around £95 million. Now, whether Newcastle United would like to deal with the Reds is another matter – but there is strong interest from Anfield.

In fact, the report claims Liverpool are ahead in this regard. They seemed convinced he was their best option, re-signing Gordon two years after they initially considered signing him.
That would leave Gordon as Diaz’s replacement on the left side. A direct winger who likes to run forward with the ball, attack defenders and carry the ball into the box.
