Liverpool Have Held Talks To Land This Talented Winger: What Will He Bring To Anfield?

In a recent report, journalist Fraser Fletcher claimed that Liverpool have held talks over a move for Etihad winger Moussa Diaby. It has been mentioned that the Reds are considering moving the France international to Merseyside this summer.

Diaby’s outstanding performance in Saudi football

Diaby has been performing well for the Saudi club, producing a series of impressive performances in the final third. The 26-year-old has made 33 appearances in multiple games for the Etihad this season, scoring three times and providing 13 assists.

The French winger is currently one of the best playmakers in Saudi football. It would therefore make sense for Liverpool to try and bring him back to England this summer.

His current contract at the Saudi club expires in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Reds to sign him on the cheap later this year.

What will Diaby bring to Liverpool?

Diaby is an excellent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has the vision to create many key opportunities for his teammates on the offensive end. He can deliver venomous shots from distance and can contribute by getting his fair share of assists from the wing.

The France star is primarily a right winger but can also play on the left or as a center forward if the manager tells him to. He has gained some Premier League experience from his time at Aston Villa and will not need much time to adapt to life at Liverpool.

Diaby will undoubtedly bring more firepower to Arne Slott’s offense. He would be an ideal successor to Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside club.

At 26, Diaby is approaching his prime years, making him an excellent option for the Reds to consider at the end of the season. He might even help Liverpool challenge for some major trophies in the coming years. Therefore, it is logical that the Red Army would try every means to lure him to Anfield during the off-season.
