Leak Hints at First Intel Nvidia Chip After $5 Billion Partnership

This article first appeared on GuruFocus.

Intel (INTC, Financials) and Nvidia (NVDA, Financials) may be preparing to launch their first jointly developed chips, according to leaked details about a laptop processor called Serpent Lake. Leaked information shared by YouTube channel RedGamingTec suggests that the chip will combine an Intel CPU and Nvidia RTX graphics card in a single design.

Serpent Lake is expected to pair Intel’s upcoming Titan Lake CPU architecture with Nvidia’s RTX Rubin graphics cards, which are manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process. The chip is reportedly designed to compete with AMD’s Strix Halo by offering stronger graphics performance in high-end laptops.

One feature worth noting is memory bandwidth. The design is said to support up to 16 channels of LPDDR6 memory, a move aimed at avoiding bottlenecks that limit graphics performance in competing processors.

The leak appears to give us our first real look at what Intel and Nvidia’s $5 billion partnership might yield. While Intel says it remains committed to its own Arc graphics roadmap, Serpent Lake points to a deeper collaboration between the two companies that could launch in late 2025 or early 2026.
