Lazio have reportedly opened talks with Atletico Madrid over a possible swap club for Matteo Guendouzi and Giacomo Raspadori.
background
According to The Courier , Maurizio Sarri had agreed to sell Tati Castellanos and a player between Guendouzi and Nicolo Rovera upon his return to the club in June, but those plans were delayed due to the summer transfer ban. But with the Blue Eagles now free on the market again, having agreed to sell Castellanos to West Ham for €30m, Guendouzi could follow suit.

Matteo Guendouzi acquired by Atletico Madrid
In recent hours, Fenerbahce have become serious suitors for the French midfielder, offering Lazio a transfer fee of 25 million euros. They also tried to attract the player with an annual salary of 4 million euros. Despite this, The Courier insists Guendouzi would prefer to reunite with Réges Le Bris at Sunderland or join Diego Simeone’s court.

With Guendouzi valued at €30 million, the swap deal would require a currency adjustment in Lazio’s favor, as Raspadori’s market value is around €25 million. While it remains to be seen whether such a move is feasible, the report insists Atletico are keen on signing the Frenchman even if a player swap does not materialise.
