The UCLA women’s basketball team made a grand comeback Sunday night after winning a historic NCAA national championship.
AIR7 video captured a large crowd surrounding their bus as it pulled into campus following their big win earlier Sunday. The Bruins returned home to a hard-earned heroes’ welcome.

The Bruins defeated South Carolina by 28 points in the championship game.

Gabriela Jaquez, Lauren Betts and other UCLA seniors win the first NCAA women’s basketball national championship in school history.
The crowd went wild as the team bus pulled up to the Mo Austin Basketball Center on campus.
Several of the team’s star players were seniors and ended their college careers with a great win.
“I’m a sophomore so I watched them play last year and I’m really proud of what they accomplished this year. It’s awesome,” said one fan.

“I’m excited. I love cheering them on. This win is awesome and there’s more to come,” said another fan.
“It’s awesome, I mean, these fans have been great all season long and just so grateful to have such a warm welcome home,” UCLA guard Kiki Rice said.
