Kobe Minor’s future at Manchester United has become a source of speculation.

The 20-year-old is highly regarded by Manchester United but is currently struggling for game time under Ruben Amorim.

According to CentreDevils , Mainu is pushing for a loan move away from the Red Devils next month, but the club are insisting on keeping him.

Sources close to the youngster’s agency believe United are hampering his development by blocking a loan exit.

He was a regular starter last season, but his role has been greatly reduced this season, making only 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League.

Although Mainu is frustrated with his current situation, he has performed like a model professional throughout the season and has impressed the club with his attitude in training.

Amorim sees the England international as No. 8 and therefore competing for the same position as Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa, with fears the United captain could be sidelined for around a month.

Mainu is likely to start against Newcastle United on Friday as a natural replacement for the 31-year-old.

But the young midfielder also suffered a calf problem that ruled him out of the Boxing Day game against Newcastle.

Mainu is one of the best players in Manchester United’s youth academy.

Despite his young age, he has already made 84 appearances for the Manchester giants, scoring 7 goals and assisting 3 times.

He is highly rated for his excellent technique, maturity and game intelligence, but is not suited to play in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
