KFOR 4Warn Storm trackers injured in crash during tornadic storms

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Tracking storms in Oklahoma can be dangerous, and Thursday night was a stark reminder.

Photos show a chasing team of four Warning Stormers being T-boned by a driver who reportedly ran a stop sign and caused damage.

We can tell you that everyone involved in the accident will be fine.

For years, the 4Warn Storm team has been talking about how dangerous the job has become with so many people on the road trying to track storms.

While on scene, KFOR learned that the driver who attacked our personnel was an amateur storm chaser who reportedly blew up a stop sign.

Our storm chaser Conner Tune suffered some cuts and serious bruising and his truck was a total loss, but thankfully he and his chasing partner Blaze Edwards were released from hospital on Thursday evening.

Unfortunately, Blaze suffered a cracked sternum, but judging by the damage to the vehicle, they were very lucky.

As for the driver who hit them, we’re told he is under observation overnight but will be released from hospital on Friday.
