Will Stein has made a few different hires to bolster his staff as spring football approaches. However, in today’s world of college football, having a front office is a necessity for success year after year.
Luckily, that’s what this team is building to, and UK added a new name to the squad on Friday.

Jerret McElwain will join the Cats as director of player personnel, according to a report from KSR’s Nick Roush. He will work with Pete Nochta and Pat Biondo.
McElwain has spent the past few seasons with the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa as the assistant director of player personnel. He also worked for Kalen DeBoer in Washington and Jim Harbaugh in Michigan.
Jarrett is the son of Jim McElvain, the former head coach of the Florida Gators.
With a general manager on Kentucky’s staff in place and now someone like McElwain to help solidify the front office, things are looking brighter for Lexington. For now, let’s hope the hype continues for products in this space.
