Plenty of Bianconeri players have stepped up in January, but none more than Kenan Yildiz, who was named player of the month by the Italian Football Players’ Association (AIC). Kenan narrowly beat Como’s Martin Baturina for the award.

His story can’t be told in numbers alone, though. The importance of his goal against Napoli, for example, cannot be ignored, he often displays his unique way of finding an inch of breathing space in crowded spaces and he is more than capable of making the most of it. Although Kenan is only 21 years old, in addition to his undeniable technical talent, he has established himself as a team leader.
