Julian Edelman Reacts To Non-DPI Call On Kayshon Boutte In Patriots’ Victory Over Ravens

The Patriots defeated the Baltimore Ravens 28-24 on Sunday Night Football. However, during New England’s final score, it could have been a big talking point if the game had gone the other way.

With less than four minutes left in the game, Drake Maye’s long pass to wide receiver Kayshon Boutte from the Patriots 44-yard line would have put New England in the red zone, but the pass was incomplete.

Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey was covering Butte and hugged him too tightly, which should have resulted in a defensive pass interference penalty, but no penalty was called. Many were unhappy with the game, including former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman.

“How is this not blatant DPI?” Edelman wrote on Sunday night.

The Patriots were lucky that the non-DPI call didn’t cost them the game, which they probably would have if they hadn’t managed to come up with a big drive.

With the win, New England clinches a playoff berth and looks to clinch an AFC East spot in the next two games.
