Just a month and a half after taking the job, Camden County, Ga., is now searching for another head football coach.
Jon LindsayCamden, a former defensive coordinator at Camden County, has resigned as the Wildcats’ head coach, according to an announcement from the school. Lindsay previously served under legendary head coach Jeff HerronDuring his time with the Wildcats, he won 334 games and five state championships. The following is an excerpt from Camden County’s statement.

‘Camden County Schools announced that coach Jon Lindsey has resigned as Camden High School football head coach due to personal and unforeseen reasons. Out of respect for Coach Lindsay’s privacy, no further details will be released.
The school system remains committed to providing students with a positive, stable athletic experience.
We are developing plans to ensure leadership and continuity for the football program and will share more information at the appropriate time.‘
Lindsay has replaced Travis RowlandThe school announced Wednesday that he was releasing him from his position after leading Camden County to one playoff appearance and a 13-8 record in two seasons. Rowland, who hails from mainland Florida, compiled a 30-10 overall record in three seasons and led the Pirates to the Florida Class 3S state championship in 2023 over St. Augustine.
