The Boston Celtics have won seven of their last ten games, and the team’s recent string of wins can be attributed to a total team effort, with the bench being as much a factor in the Celtics’ early success as the veteran starters.
For Boston head coach Joe Mazzula, that fact couldn’t be more obvious. He talked about why the Celtics are having a strong start to the 2025-26 NBA regular season following the Celtics’ 120-106 road win over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday (Jan. 1) night at Golden One Center. “I think, number one, (we) just continue to try to play the role we want to play on both ends of the floor,” Mazzula said. “Whether it’s trying to control the shooting space with our offensive rebounds and taking care of the basketball, (or) improving the quality of our shots.”

“Offensively, defensively, obviously we have to continue to do a better job rebounding,” the Celtics coach added.

“Our turnover rate has been pretty good over the last ten games,” Mazzula said. “We have to keep doing this.”
“But I think as long as we continue to understand that everybody on the roster has a chance to impact a win and we know our roles and we do our jobs, we have a chance to win.”
