Alex Pereira is no longer the UFC light heavyweight champion, and with that comes a title fight for the vacant belt.
Pereira, one of the UFC’s biggest stars, has vacated his title, and now Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ullberg will battle to see who is the new king of the division. The two top contenders will clash in the main event of UFC 327, which is scheduled to take place on April 11 at the Casea Center in Miami.

UFC CEO Dana White officially announced the fight on Instagram Live on Friday night.
Prochazka (32-5-1 MMA, 6-2 UFC) hopes to be crowned champion in 2022 and regain his title. However, an injury forced him to vacate the belt, and he has since been unable to regain the title, facing Pereira on two separate occasions, with Pereira defeating him by TKO both times. Prochazka had a fruitful 2025. He scored TKO wins over former champion Jamahal Hill and former UFC title challenger Khalil Rountree Jr., ending a second defeat for “Poatan.”
Ulberg (13-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC), on the other hand, has one of the longest winning streaks in the promotion. Since losing his UFC debut in 2021, he has won nine straight fights, defeating several big names in the process. Ullberg was last seen in September when he defeated Dominick Reyes in the first round of the main event. Ullberg trains at City Kickboxing in Australia, where he trains with former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
