Jio plans to launch Wi-Fi calling service across India by January 16. It is designed to support voice (VoWiFi) and video calling over any Wi-Fi network. Furthermore, the telco claims that the service supports over 150 phone models. Users with supported networks can seamlessly switch between VoLTE and Wi-Fi networks to make voice or video calls without lag. However, the Wi-Fi calling feature on the device needs to be activated.
