Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics offense were unstoppable Saturday night.
After being snubbed as the Eastern Conference Player of the Month in December, Brown responded with one of the best games of his career and Celtics history.

Brown exploded for 50 points, tying his career high dating back to 2022, and led Boston to a 146-115 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome. He continued to solidify his MVP status, shooting 18-of-26 from the field and finishing with five assists, three rebounds and 21 points.
The 29-year-old also etched his name in the Celtics record books, joining Jayson Tatum and Larry Bird as the only players in franchise history to score multiple 50-point games. He also became the fourth player in franchise history to score 40 points in at least 15 games, joining Tatum, Bird and Paul Pierce.
Brown has increased his scoring average to 30.1 points this year, tying Tatum’s current team record. When he finished the game in the fourth quarter, the crowd chanted “MVP.”

It was Brown’s fourth game this season in which he scored at least 40 points. He led Boston to three straight wins, ending the team’s road trip in style at 4-1.
After playing some of the best basketball of his career in December, Brown is still looking like that in January. His hot streak will continue when the Celtics host the Chicago Bulls on Monday in their first home game since Dec. 22.
