Jarrell Miller lost his wig and won Saturday’s undercard match between Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez.
During the third round of his fight with Kingsley Ibe, the heavyweight veteran took enough shots to the head that his wig ended up flying in the air, revealing a completely bald scalp. Miller took the development in stride, ripping off the piece at the end of the round and throwing it into the crowd.

He spent the rest of the battle wearing a ring on his scalp, like a Franciscan friar.
The hair loss didn’t stop Miller from winning the fight, which he scored 94-96, 97-93, 97-93.
Meanwhile, his hair was widely circulated at Madison Square Garden, and at one point WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman purchased it.
WBC interim women’s super lightweight Skye Nicholson took it a step further and tried wearing a wig.
After the game, Miller explained that his bald spot was actually the result of a recent chemical accident at his mother’s house:
“I got to my mom’s house and she had some shampoo bottles under her desk. I just washed my hair – it was like ammonia and bleach. I just fell out two days ago. So I called my manager and he said, ‘Let me get rid of that real quick.'”
“[Ibeh] Screw that up. But like I said before, it’s fun. I’m a comedian. “
We’re reasonably sure it’s not actually ammonia and bleach, as they are known to produce highly toxic chloramine gas.

With this victory, Miller’s record improved to 27 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.
