Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala is getting closer to a return after recovering from a fractured fibula suffered in last summer’s Club World Cup.
Speaking at a supporters club event on Sunday (via DPA ), the Germany international revealed that Tuesday’s friendly against Red Bull Salzburg comes too soon for him but he expects to return to action “in the coming weeks”.

“It’s not just my decision. If it were up to me, I would have played last month. We just made sure that I could relax properly and have no fear,” said the attacking midfielder, who resumed team training shortly before Christmas.
“I’ve been doing a lot of training and things are going well. But we don’t want to rush it either. We’re training session by session,” Musiala added.
Bayern Munich will face Wolfsburg on January 11 in their first official game of 2026.
