CNN Jake Tapper Border Patrol carries receipts when commander-in-chief is absent Gregory Bovino Questioning him on social media suggests he is a liar.
Tapper’s post about Bovino came after Border Patrol shot and killed Bovino. Alex Pretty In Minneapolis, Bovino’s description of the shooting angered critics. “The victim was a Border Patrol agent. I’m not blaming the Border Patrol agent. The suspect put himself in this situation,” Bovino claimed on CNN on Sunday.
Tapper retweeted the judge’s November ruling on Bovino’s tactics in Chicago, suggesting Bovino was a known liar. “Bovino admitted in his testimony that he lied repeatedly,” Tapper wrote, “the judge wrote.”
In response, Bovino challenged Tapper, writing: “So, Jack, please find this lie. No one seems to be able to find this mysterious ‘lie.'”
“It’s my pleasure to assist you, sir,” Tapper replied, before producing more court documents.
“Bovino admitted during his testimony that he repeatedly lied about events in the hamlet that prompted him to throw tear gas at protesters,” court records said. “‘Bovino and DHS said a rock struck Bovino in the helmet before he threw the tear gas. … On the first day of his testimony, ‘Bovino admitted that he was not struck by the rock until after he used tear gas…'”
Tapper added 11 more posts to the thread, giving examples of how Bovino repeatedly lied when recounting his interactions with protesters.
In the final post, Tapper linked to court documents and wrote: “This is the judge’s 233-page opinion dated November 20, 2025 Sarah Ellis. If I can be of any further help, please let me know. “
In addition to his online feud with Tapper, Bovino went after the senator and others on Sunday. bill cassidy (R-LA), Rep. Thomas Massey (R-KY) and Barrier’s Bill Kristol.
