The NFL is a “what have you done for me lately” league, and that’s the case with Packers quarterback Malik Willis, which could be a good thing for other NFL teams seeking his services.
Malik Willis looked like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde case with the Tennessee Titans, and his starting time with the Green Bay Packers was short. Will he keep pace when he hits free agency, or will he cause the team to suffer buyer’s remorse?

Although he only made six starts, the “what have you done for me lately” nature of the NFL could be Willis’ time to make money. He will certainly be better than most of the quarterback prospects in this year’s NFL draft. He has a lot of upside right now, and teams like his mobility and durability.
Willis had high expectations coming out of college, and as you know, some teams and “NFL Draft experts” set lofty expectations that most players will never achieve, depending on the market they enter. Willis endured a rough patch in Tennessee but established himself in Green Bay, posting a 2-1 record while filling in for the injured Jordan Love. He threw no interceptions, had a completion rate of 80% and a quarterback rating of over 132.
The system and coaching got the best out of Malik Willis, and one can only hope the next team can do the same and not fail him.
