LG and Samsung showed off their new range of OLED TVs at CES 2026, and while there was some big buzz around the flagship models, it was the mid-range TVs that I was most interested in.
The LG C6 is the mid-range model in LG’s 2026 OLED TV series, while the Samsung S90H is the mid-range model in Samsung’s 2026 OLED TV series. The big news from the brands is that LG’s C6 will actually come in two different versions: the C6 and C6H, with the latter using a new panel (more on that below), while the Samsung S90H will feature the OLED Glare Free anti-reflective screen seen in the company’s flagship OLED models.
The mid-range OLED TV war has always been a fierce one, with LG and Samsung vying for the title of the best mid-range OLED TV over the past few years. In fact, the LG C5 and Samsung S90F (the C6 and S90H’s respective predecessors) both received five stars from TechRadar last year – so needless to say, these new TVs have a big gap to fill.
As TechRadar’s TV reviewer, I’m excited to test both TVs, but there are a few things that might sway me towards one over the other – let’s take a closer look.
LG’s upgraded version of OLED has a bright spot

LG’s C-Series OLEDs are consistently among the best TVs every year, offering excellent picture quality and performance with all the features you could possibly need, all at a very competitive price. Last year’s LG C5 is another stunning example, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that: Very Similar to its predecessor, the LG C4, it’s basically the same TV, save for some new AI features and a brightness boost.
We’ve been waiting a while for the LG C series to get a proper shakeup, and it finally happened at CES 2026 — but not in the way I expected. LG is launching not one, but two versions of its latest C-series models: the LG C6 and LG C6H.
The C6H is the TV we’ve been waiting for a few years because it features LG’s new Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 panel, which is also used in the LG G6. So C series can at last Delivering the big upgrade in brightness, contrast, and color we’ve been waiting for.
However, there’s a problem: It’s only available in 77-inch and 83-inch sizes. For those who want a smaller TV, the LG C6 will be available in 42, 48, 55 and 65-inch sizes, but it comes with the same type of OLED panel as its predecessor.
While the prospect of the C6H is exciting, the limited size options feel like a missed opportunity. The 77 and 83 inch models aren’t the most common sizes, especially where I am in the UK, so it’s a shame that the new Tandem panels aren’t coming in the more popular 55 and 65 inch sizes.
Both C6 models will feature an upgraded Alpha 11 Gen 3 processor, which is usually reserved for flagship models like the LG G series. LG says this will mean faster performance, better AI upscaling (including SDR to HDR conversion), and Dolby Atmos Flex Connect support (a feature included in one of LG’s new sound systems). Still, it would be nice if all C6 models came with the new Tandem panels.
Samsung OLED is more glare-free

Samsung’s OLED Glare Free anti-reflective screen was first launched in 2024 on the Samsung S95D flagship OLED. This is a revolutionary new step for OLED as it effectively eliminates specular reflections, making viewing easier in bright rooms, which has been an issue with traditional glossy and dark OLED TVs.
In 2025, this improves on the Samsung S95F, one of the best OLED TVs of 2025 and TechRadar’s 2025 TV of the Year. Compared to its predecessor, the S95F demonstrated better black level performance and provided better overall contrast. Other Samsung TVs have also introduced anti-glare technology, including our top pick for sports TV, the five-star Samsung QN90F.
By 2026, the mid-range S90H OLED will feature glare-free technology, which is a big factor that gives it an advantage over the LG C6, which, like its predecessor, the C5, suffers from reflection issues – something I discovered when I tested the C5. This means the S90H becomes a more “affordable” glare-free OLED suitable for daytime and bright room viewing, which is great news for potential buyers.
What I look forward to most is a big if

Specs-wise, there isn’t much difference between the two TVs. Both will feature feature sets that rival the best gaming TVs, with powerful processors and tons of AI image and sound enhancements. So really it depends on the screen.
LG and Samsung, the TVs I’m most looking forward to should The LG C6H has always been a favorite of mine thanks to its new Primary RGB Tandem panel, but the limited size somewhat dampened my excitement. I’m still looking forward to testing it and the LG C6, thanks to the new processor, but LG has just launched a model with all the upgrades, in a wide range of sizes, and it will be my first choice.
I’m a fan of OLED Glare Free, and in fact this feature on the mid-range S90H is a game-changer in this price range, so it’s the mid-range OLED I’m most looking forward to right now. That’s because I expect more sizes of the S90H to come with QD-OLED panels compared to last year’s S90F, of which only the 65-inch model is guaranteed to come with a QD-OLED panel.
If Samsung can bring QD-OLED and If most of the S90H series comes with “glare-free” functionality (but we don’t expect that to happen with the 42, 48, and 83-inch models), it could usurp the LG C series as the best mid-range OLED. Either way, I’m dying to have all these TVs.
