“The Israel Defense Forces, under the leadership of Northern Command and through the air force, have recently attacked the infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in several areas of southern Lebanon.”
Israel attacked Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon on Monday night, according to an IDF statement released on Tuesday.
“The Israel Defense Forces, under the leadership of the Northern Command, recently carried out air strikes against the infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in several areas of southern Lebanon,” the statement said.
“As part of the attack, the IDF attacked a training center used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s ‘Radwan Force’ forces to train and train the organization’s terrorists to plan and execute terrorist plots against the IDF and citizens of the State of Israel.”
The IDF reports that the training center is used for shooting exercises and additional training in the use of various types of weapons.
Other military buildings and missile launch sites were also reportedly targeted.

Ongoing counter-Hezbollah efforts
The attacks are part of a larger ongoing campaign by the Israel Defense Forces to target and destroy Hezbollah’s ability to rearm after failed attempts to disarm the Iranian-backed Lebanese terror group.
On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces destroyed an abandoned Hezbollah terror tunnel that contained mortar shells used against Israel, as well as a warehouse previously used by Hezbollah to store weapons.
On Friday, the IDF attacked several Hezbollah targets in civilian areas around the villages of Jiba and Maruna. Residents are advised to evacuate at least 300 meters from the target area before an attack.
The attack successfully targeted several Hezbollah weapons depots.
IDF Arabic spokesman Colonel Avicai Adrai said the attack was aimed at “addressing Hezbollah’s prohibited attempts to reestablish its activities in the area.”
