Sunday Night Basketball will debut on February 1st with two exciting games. First, at 7:00 pm ET, the Los Angeles Lakers head to the “most famous arena in the world” to face the New York Knicks. Then, at 9:30 p.m., the Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Denver Nuggets. Live coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. USA Sunday Night Basketball on NBC and Peacock.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets Preview:
Sunday’s game is the first of four between Oklahoma City and Denver. The last time these two teams went head-to-head was in last season’s Western Conference semifinals, with the Nuggets forcing seven games from the Thunder on their way to the NBA championship.
Since the start of 2023, the Thunder have won four of five regular-season games in Denver.

Oklahoma City leads the NBA in both scoring and defensive scoring and is on pace to set a franchise record for points per game. The Thunder could become just the second team in league history to lead the league in both categories, joining the 1948-49 Minneapolis Lakers.

Most Tuesdays, NBC stations in the Eastern and Central time zones will air the 8 pm ET game, while NBC stations in the Pacific and Mountain time zones will air the 8 pm PT game.
