How to Watch IPL 2022 Matches Online in India, US, and Around the World

IPL 2022 (known as Tata IPL 2022 for sponsorship reasons) will kick off on Saturday night, March 26, when Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by new captain Ravindra Jadeja, will take on last year’s runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The 15th season of the Indian Premier League has added two new teams: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT), led by KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya respectively. The entire group stage of IPL 2022 will be played at four venues (Wankhede, Brabourne, DY Patil and MCA Stadium) in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra. But if you can’t or don’t want to be there in person, here’s how you can watch the IPL 2022 events from the comfort of your home.

How to watch IPL 2022 online in India

Disney+ Hotstar is the official streaming partner for the live broadcast of IPL 2022 matches in India. The most affordable way to watch IPL in India is the Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription, which is priced at Rs 100. 499 per year. Several telecom companies like Jio, Vi and Airtel are offering their users special cricket plans that come with Disney+ Hotstar Mobile membership. If you are not satisfied with watching IPL 2022 on your mobile device, you need to subscribe to Disney+ Hotstar Super for Rs 100. 899 per year. With Super, you can watch IPL on mobile, TV, desktop and anywhere Disney+ Hotstar has an app. Those with larger families should check out the Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription – it costs Rs 10. 1,499 per year Rs 299 per month. It doesn’t give you any extra benefit over Super for IPL 2022 except that it allows simultaneous viewing on four screens instead of two.

How to watch IPL 2022 matches outside India

Like previous seasons, YuppTV will broadcast this year’s IPL season globally. Cricket fans in Australia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Japan, Afghanistan and other countries can use their platform to watch IPL 2022 matches. Cricket fans in the United States can subscribe to ESPN+ for $6.99 (approximately Rs. 530) per month to watch IPL matches online. ESPN+ is also available as part of the Disney bundle. Additionally, Willow TV in the US offers live and cable/satellite viewing options.

In Australia, cricket fans can choose between Fox Sports and Kayo Sports. Fox Sports usually comes with a TV package. For fans without a TV package, Kayo Sports may be a better option. It offers a basic plan of AU$25 (approximately Rs. 1,400) per month and a premium subscription of AU$35 (approximately Rs. 2,000) per month. There is also a 14-day trial period.
