If you’re already a Vodafone customer, you can switch to a 4G-enabled Vodafone SIM card today by following these simple steps – you don’t need to wait for 4G services to be launched in your city. 4G-enabled Vodafone SIM cards are available in many cities, including Delhi. Please ask customer service to find out if there are 4G-enabled Vodafone SIM cards in your city. Please note that Vodafone is offering customers in certain areas 1GB of free 4G data if you switch to a 4G SIM card. Free data is available when 4G service is launched in your city.

Here are the steps to switch to a Vodafone 4G SIM card:

1. Visit any nearby Vodafone store and place a request for a 4G-enabled SIM card.
2. You will receive your new 4G-SIM card after a proper identification process and compatibility check with 4G-enabled phones by Vodafone staff.
3. To activate the card, text “SIMEX” using your existing Vodafone number ‘ to 55199 (this number will be available on the new SIM card/case you receive)
4. You will receive a reply text message from 55199 containing part of the SIM card number entered.
5. Send the last 6 digits of the new SIM number to 55199 within 2 hours of receiving the SMS mentioned in the above steps.
6. You will receive a success text message, after which your 4G-Ready SIM card will be activated within 5-10 minutes.
7. Subsequently, replace the old SIM card in your phone with the new 4G-Ready SIM card and continue using Vodafone services without interruption.
