Apple Music – the music streaming service from the Cupertino company – unlike rival Spotify, doesn’t offer a free, ad-supported plan, but you can get a month-long trial in some countries before signing up for the service. However, if you’ve never subscribed to Apple Music, you can take advantage of a promotion that’s been offered to users as part of the Shazam app for years, giving you three months of unlimited access to Apple Music for free.

We tested these steps on an iPhone running iOS 17 during a 2-month free trial that ended on April 14. However, you should be able to take advantage of the promotion for up to three months on older versions of Apple’s smartphone operating system.

It’s also worth noting that while Shazam’s webpage states that the promotion will expire on March 31, there’s another way you can get up to three months free, which requires you to scan a QR code on Apple’s website.
