WhatsApp Beta has reportedly added support for AI stickers on the messaging app. On WhatsApp, this is the first feature to use artificial intelligence. According to reports, the option to create AI stickers is currently only available to select users in the WhatsApp beta of the Android 2.23.17.14 update. The new feature enables users to create personalized stickers by describing the desired visual effect to artificial intelligence. The feature is expected to be rolled out to WhatsApp users globally in the coming days.
Feature tracker WABetaInfo mentioned the new update in its report and said that the feature is currently only available to a limited number of testers. Just like all other stickers, the AI-generated stickers feature is located in the Stickers tab. To generate stickers, users need to click on the new “Create” button.

WhatsApp has not yet confirmed the timeline for making this AI sticker feature available to all users. Additionally, Meta did not mention the name of the generative AI used to create these stickers. Since generative AI also poses certain security and copyright risks, it remains to be seen whether Meta will take further action to protect the security of these AI stickers.
