How to book IRCTC train tickets online using mobile phone

To book train tickets on your smartphone, download the IRCTC Rail Connect app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. If you are a new user, you need to register before you can start using the app. There is also an IRCTC portal that users can access via mobile browsers but will also need to register on the browser platform. To book train tickets through IRCTC mobile app, follow the steps below.

1. Installation of IRCTC rail connectivity. Register yourself. Log in using the newly created credentials.

2. Click Plan my booking on the home page. Enter the departure station, destination station information, travel date, and click search train.

3. The train list, departure times and available (or unavailable) stock will be mentioned. Availability will also be divided based on categories such as sleeper cabins, air-conditioned cabins, etc.

4. Clicking on a class will display ticket prices. Once you have decided on your train and class, click Passenger details.

5. You can add up to six adults and two infants to one booking. IRCTC also requires the destination address. Fill in the details and click on the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions. Click View trip details.

6. Scan train information, booked class and passenger information. If you are satisfied with all the details, click Continue to pay After entering the verification code at the bottom of the page.

7. Pay using mobile wallet, debit card, credit card or online banking. After payment is completed, users can find their tickets in the transaction history.
