MyGov Corona Helpdesk, the Ministry of Health’s official COVID-19 assistance chatbot, is now available for booking vaccination slots via WhatsApp. The chatbot now allows users to book vaccination slots for first and second doses and make appointments through the messaging app. This comes after MyGov Corona Helpdesk was recently able to download soft copies of vaccine certificates. WhatsApp said users across the country have downloaded more than 3.2 million certificates so far. The bot was launched last March to help prevent misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic. WhatsApp said that since then, more than 41 million users across India have used the chatbot.
How to book a vaccination slot on MyGov Corona Helpdesk on WhatsApp
MyGov Corona Helpdesk is a chatbot available on WhatsApp. The new service allows users to book vaccination slots based on a password they enter. It will prompt you to select your preferred time and date. Using this method, users can skip the step of going to the CoWIN platform to find available slots and easily book vaccination appointments on their mobile phones through WhatsApp. However, to register new users, the CoWIN platform is required. Save the number +91 9013151515 to your phone. Go to WhatsApp and search for MyGov Corona Helpdesk bot. Alternatively, you can go to this link to open the MyGoV Corona Helpdesk chatbot on WhatsApp.

Enter and send ‘book place’ Inside a chatbot on WhatsApp.

This will generate a six-digit OTP on the corresponding mobile number. Enter the OTP in the chatbot.

The bot will display a list of people registered with that number. Select the people you want to book a vaccination slot for.

MyGov Corona Helpdesk will show nearby centers based on password and vaccination type. Users can select their preferred date and location following the steps mentioned in the chatbot.
