How much money did drug agents find in search of Alabama’s Aden Holloway?

The amount of money seized by drug agents during a search of the home of Alabama basketball guard Aden Holloway has been revealed.

According to court documents obtained by The Tuscaloosa News, agents with the West Alabama Drug Task Force found $400 in the pocket of a jacket in Holloway’s closet.

Agents also found 2.1 pounds of marijuana and other paraphernalia.

Tuscaloosa District Attorney Hays Webb filed a forfeiture complaint in Tuscaloosa Circuit Court on Friday, March 20, asking the state to forfeit all proceeds of Holloway’s crimes, including any financial proceeds.

Holloway was arrested on Monday, March 16, for first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to post a tax stamp. Both are Class C felonies in Alabama. He was released on $5,000 bail within an hour of his arrest.

Holloway has been suspended from team activities pending a review by the university’s Office of Student Conduct and a court date.
